Insight is designed for valuable information and thoughtful discussion. Every user must follow these standards.
Share value
- Post information, explanations, questions, corrections, and real-world examples that help other people understand something.
- Choose the most accurate category and comment type.
- Avoid repetitive posts, engagement bait, empty reactions, spam, and content copied only to attract attention.
- Correct mistakes openly and provide useful context where possible.
Be truthful
- Do not knowingly publish false or deceptive information.
- Distinguish fact from opinion and uncertainty.
- Do not fabricate sources, credentials, events, images, or quotations.
- Certification is not proof that every statement is true; readers should verify important claims.
Respect people
- No hate speech or attacks based on protected characteristics.
- No harassment, bullying, threats, humiliation, stalking, or encouragement of abuse.
- No pornography, sexual exploitation, or non-consensual intimate content.
- Do not celebrate or encourage self-harm, violence, or dangerous conduct.
Protect identity and privacy
- Do not impersonate celebrities, public bodies, organizations, official accounts, or other users.
- Do not publish passwords, addresses, private contact details, financial information, identification documents, precise private locations, or other personal information that could create risk.
- Do not share another person’s private information without permission.
Respect rights
- Only upload content you created or have permission to use.
- Do not infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other legal rights.
- Follow applicable law.
Reports and enforcement
Use Report for suspected violations, not personal disagreements. False or coordinated reporting may itself lead to action. Depending on context and severity, Insight may take no action, remove content, warn an account, apply a temporary ban, permanently ban an account, remove badges, or restrict features. Some removed content may remain in a restricted archive for up to 30 days for review or reversal.
