Privacy Policy
Insight does not sell personal data, use it for third-party advertising, or track people across other companies’ apps or websites. Data is used to operate Insight, personalize the experience, provide notifications, enforce community rules, and protect the service.

2. How we use information
- Authenticate accounts and keep usernames unique.
- Publish and display profiles, posts, comments, media, likes, views, and follower relationships.
- Rank and filter content based on topics and interactions.
- Provide saved posts, notifications, replies, and account features.
- Review reports, prevent abuse, apply moderation decisions, and maintain an audit trail.
- Maintain security, diagnose failures, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.
- Respond to support and feedback messages.
3. Public and private information
Profiles, usernames, display names, profile photos, biographies, published posts, published comments, and public engagement counts can be seen by other Insight users. Saved posts are private to the saving user. Some preference signals are kept in the user’s private iCloud database. Reports, security records, and moderation tools are restricted to authorized staff, subject to the technical limits of our service providers.
4. Storage and service providers
Insight uses Apple services, including Sign in with Apple, CloudKit, iCloud, and Apple Push Notification service, to provide core app functionality. Insight also uses Cloudflare Workers and Cloudflare D1 for secure authorization, staff permissions, and security audit records. These providers process information on our behalf under their own terms and privacy protections. Information may be processed in countries other than your own.
5. Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for behavioral advertising or cross-app tracking. We may share or make information available:
- To Apple and Cloudflare as needed to operate, store, secure, and deliver Insight.
- When a user intentionally publishes content for other users to see.
- When required by law, legal process, or a valid government request.
- When reasonably necessary to protect users, enforce our rules, investigate abuse, or defend legal rights.
- In connection with a reorganization or transfer of the service, subject to appropriate notice and protection.
6. Retention and deletion
We generally retain account information and content while an account is active. Users can delete their account from Profile → Settings → Delete account. This requests deletion of the profile, posts, comments, likes, views, saves, follows, preferences, and related account data handled by the app.
Content removed by moderators may be kept in a restricted archive for up to 30 days to allow review or reversal, then scheduled for permanent deletion. Limited security, moderation, or legal records may be retained longer where reasonably necessary to prevent abuse, document actions, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. Backups and provider caches may take additional time to expire.
See the account-deletion instructions or contact us for help.
7. Your choices
- Edit your public profile in Settings.
- Choose whether to provide photos or videos.
- Manage notification permission in iOS Settings.
- Unfollow accounts, remove saves, and adjust your activity through the app.
- Delete your account in the app.
- Contact us to ask about access, correction, deletion, restriction, or other rights available under applicable law.
8. Children
Insight is not directed to children who are below the minimum age permitted to use an online service in their country without parental authorization. If you believe a child has provided personal information contrary to applicable law, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
9. Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect information, including Apple authentication, encrypted network connections, CloudKit access controls, server-side authorization for privileged actions, and restricted staff roles. No system can guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes
We may update this policy as Insight changes. We will update the date above and provide additional notice when a change is material.
